Location:  14128 Woodhaven Road, Minnetonka, MN 55345

Lori and Tony have planned the following activities and can modify based upon attendance and interest:

Building on the April pond building meeting, Tony will share what type of filtration is available on a 5000 gallon pond and a 12000 gallon pond. He will answer questions about materials used, current and former equipment he used and what might he have done differently.

What’s the future of this kohaku? Three or four kohaku koi, about 16-17” will be bowled and we will discuss strong and weak points of each.

What’s the future of this showa? Three showa koi, about 21” will be bowled and we will discuss strong and weak points of each.

For novice koi keepers, we will cover basic koi anatomy, sashi, kiwa and skin quality during the kohaku and showa discussion.

We will also walk the yard, talk about plant varieties and creating a japanese style garden.

Time permitting, we will share how we kept our koi in the garage and what plans we have for next winter.
